Make It Work - Part 2

Woo Hoo…. Congratulations CC Mills!! She took the first place prize in the Make It Work competition that was held by Model Majestic. As for me, I tied for second place with Saffron Albaros, while Stargazed Dover took third. Congratulations Girls… we did a fantastic job on the runway and the outfits we were able to put together were awesome.

I really learned a lot in this competition. I learned that it’s not about who spends the most on clothes and accessories. It’s the way that you put them together and present them that counts. Modeling is about having fun, meeting great people, and melding your creativity with the designers to create a unique look.

That’s my thoughts for the day at least. Here was my second outfit for the competition:

Make it Work Finalist

I’ve been selected as one of the 10 finalists in Model Majestic’s “Make it Work” contest. Basically the premise of this contest is to take a box full of not so stylish clothes (stuff you probably would find at a Free Box lot) and put together a high fashion look. A minimum of 3 items from the box must be worn and any outside articles of clothing would get you disqualified (Accessories, Shoes, Skin, and Hair are OK, though).

For the next round, we now have to create another look from the box of clothing and be prepared to walk the runway for the judges this Thursday. Here’s a link of all the entries into the contest:

The Journey Begins

Welcome to my little personal diary documenting my thoughts and experiences through the world of Second Life Fashion. So why do I want to become a model in SL?

I guess it all started out when I first rezzed into the bright sl world and wandered into those first few freebie shops to start personalizing my avatar. Over time, the thrill of walking into shops to check out the latest in hair, skins, clothing, and accessories has not died and one day while I was at Phat Cat's dancing and talking to a stranger it was brought up that I should consider modeling. After some internal debating, I signed up for my first modeling class and here I am today.

So now I'm standing at the beginning of a new chapter of my Second Life looking forward to adventure that awaits.

One tree stands in the distance,
I'm wondering what the future will hold,
Like blossoms drifting in the wind.

Both of these pictures were taken in front of the *COCO* shop, when I found the jacket that completed this look. The cars were so much fun to play on, and I found the field with the lone cherry tree to be so peaceful. Definately a Sim to check out for both the store and the scenery around it.
